A true workhorse, this vessel is designed to suit the
demanding and varied requirements of the modern port operator. It is
desirable to have one efficient vessel capable of many roles and combining functions without compromising operations. To
achieve this in any vessel involves a detailed design process utilising in depth study of the
operating environment and needs of the end users. Based on a proven design by Maurice Napier and
benefiting from his design input, the hull form of this 20m vessel has an
exceptionally low block coefficient compared to her tug capabilities and 20tonne bollard pull. This allows her
to make passages out to sea for pilot operations, crew transfer or survey work efficiently and
speedily. Class beating manoeuvrability allow her to carry out tug and close
quarter harbour operations with ease. |
